Nitzan Chelouche
Hebrew Script Specialist
Nitzan Chelouche is a PhD candidate in the European Forum at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her goal is to promote scholarly writing on all things typography and to promote theories of graphic design in academia. Nitzan’s research examines facets of Hebrew typography in relation to cultural identity, immigration and German history. She is currently working on articles on Hebrew letterforms in Berlin’s public space and the evolution of Hebrew type design discourse among German-Jewish designers in the early twentieth century. Nitzan holds a Diplom (FH) in integrated design from the Köln International School of Design and an MA in Contemporary German Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
